Stavely Community Fire Station, Chesterfield

Project overview

HSP Consulting Engineers Ltd were appointed on various works to design and develop Stavely Community Fire Station, valued at £4.5 Million. HSP Consulting were directly involved in the design and detailing of the raft foundations to the buildings on site in conjunction with the design and detailing of the integral ground floor structures, including all necessary movement joints. Furthermore HSP were involved in the design and detailing of the external works including underground foul and surface water drainage systems, underground storage tanks and culvert structures where used as training facilities.

West Midlands Fire Service Headquarters, Birmingham

Project overview

HSP Consultings structural division were commissioned by the West Midlands Fire Service to design the foundations and proceed with a variety of structural related works to construct a purposed built Fire Station with inclusive facilities such as a gymnasium. Today, the West Midlands Fire Headquarters is the second largest brigade in the country, delivering emergency response, education, prevention activities and keeping businesses safe across the West Midlands.

West Bridgford Library and Young People’s Centre, Nottingham

Project overview

With a value of £5 million, HSP Consulting were commissioned to provide a variety of structural related works to fulfill the completion of West Bridgford Library and Young People’s Centre in 2015.  In addition to being a comprehensive library, today the complex delivers a wide range of social and recreational activities for young  children in the community of West Bridgford.

Police Station – Ollerton

Project overview

HSP Consulting were commissioned to provide a variety of works, both structural and civil related, to the £3.5 million alterations of the existing building. Ollerton Police Station is operated by Nottinghamshire Police, and houses a comprehensive police force which administer the surrounding localities of Ollerton, Clipstone, Edwinstowe and Perlethorpe.

Trinity Church, Nottingham

Project overview

HSP produced a Travel Plan to prepare Trinity Church, Nottingham for its relocation to Mansfield Road. This included undertaken travel surveys of the congregation and staff and the existing location and setting targets to minimise the number of people travelling to the site by single occupancy vehicle (SOV). The Travel Plan followed national and local guidance and was submitted to Nottingham City Council. HSP also designed a car park layout, incorporating cycle parking and servicing. Soakaway testing and a Noise Assessment were also arranged by HSP.

Prison – Lincoln

Project overview

With a value of £3 million, HSP Consulting were commissioned to prepare designs and provide the detailing of associated works at the HM Prison Lincoln. HMP Lincoln opened in 1872  as a category B prison holding remand and convicted prisoners.

Prison – Risley

Project overview

With a value of approximately £1.2 million, HSP Consulting’s Civils department were commissioned to design both the drainage and external works of HM Prison Risley.   £1.2 million drainage and external works. HM Prison Risley is a category C mens prison located in the Risley area of Warrington, Cheshire.

Police Station – Worksop

HSP’s Structural team were appointed by Nottingham Police Force to design the extension to the existing police station in Worksop.

With a value of £8.02 million, the police station was designed following HSP’s engineering expertise and was subsequently completed in 2009.
