Marco Island, Huntingdon St, Nottingham
Imagine
a 3 storey building and you want 11 extra storeys on top. Sounds
impossible. Especially when you add to that the need for open retail
spaces at ground floor and new mezzanine car park within the existing
building.
The client required the main stairs and lift shafts to be moved within
the existing structure, resulting in large sections of the existing
concrete floors and steel structure being removed, with new steel
frames for the lifts and stairs to passing through the building and
onto new foundations.
We managed to achieve a solution which was both viable, creative and
also provides the client with the best value for money. The development
will provide approximately 400 private, serviced apartments together
with luxury penthouses.
The scheme will also include restaurants, conference facilities, 300 car parking spaces and ground floor retail units.
