Paul Mills

Paul joined HSP in the summer of 2007 as an Associate Director in the Structural Engineering Division.
He has been a Chartered Structural Engineer since 2000 and has been working in the construction industry since graduating from Cambridge University in 1994.
Prior to joining HSP Paul worked for major consultancies in London, Cambridge and Derby as a Project Manager and Design Engineer on a wide variety of building projects across all market sectors. His experience covers new buildings, refurbishment of contemporary and historic buildings and special one off designs and includes some award winning projects.
Paul’s breadth of technical knowledge covers all common structural materials and is backed up by strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills. He has recently been leading the HSP design teams working on four new integrated secondary schools with community leisure and performance facilities under the Bradford Schools For the Future programme.
Outside work Paul is a keen traveller and in 2002 volunteered as a Project Manager for the youth development charity Raleigh International working alongside World Vision to help facilitate multi-cultural youth teams building a primary school in a remote rural village in Northern Ghana.
In his spare time Paul is also an enthusiastic martial artist with over fifteen years experience training in a variety of different martial arts from around the world.
