Michael Baker
SENIOR PARTNER 
Michael Baker joined the practice in March 2000 as a Director. He is Director for the Structural Engineering Division and the Highways & Drainage Division and has 30 years experience in this field. Prior to joining HSP he worked for Trent Concrete and Elliott & Brown for a combined period of 22 years.
His involvement in projects range from multi-storey apartments, flat conversions and industrial units.
He is a Chartered member of the Institute of Structural Engineers and is currently Chairman of the East Midlands Branch of the Institute. Mike often sitts on various committees and panels at I.struc.E Head Quarters, including the ECI manual task group and organises many events and seminars for the Institute
In his spare time Mike has a passion for classic cars, owning a 1969 spitfire. He also enjoys playing the guitar, DIY and spending quality time with his family.
